Hello freelancers. This month’s The Stable Door column has a slightly different format – it’s a slide show.

Now, most of you are probably already using social media in some way or another, but if a) you aren’t or b) you’re not sure how to use it to shamelessly self-promote as a soloist, take five minutes to view my quick-ish SlideShare presentation.

It looks at four types of social media: blogging, Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn, with tips on why to use them and what they can do for freelancers who need to show off a bit more to make the bucks. (Obviously I am a seasoned show-off.)
